Listen: Neneh Cherry Shares New Album Details, Streams ‘Blank Project’

The iconic Neneh Cherry last month announced that she’d be making a return proper. She released an LP back in 2012, but it was a collection of covers. Hence the fuss that’s being made over this Four Tet produced record, ‘Blank Project’.

Cherry has since shared a few more details about her new full-length. For one, Robyn is set to feature on a track titled ‘Out Of The Black’ and if the rest of ‘Blank Project’ is anything like its title track, it’s going to be a dark, foreboding work. Not sounding too dissimilar to the skittish, jazz-inspired ‘Third’ by Portishead, this song circuits industrial drone before becoming a percussion-blasted triumph.
