Premiere: Listen: Blooms Unveils New ‘If I’ Track

Louise Cunnane’s debut Blooms track ‘Skin’ is a prized example in how to give striking, affecting songwriting a new backing.

Linked up with producer du jour Sacred Animals, Cunnane’s perfected a balance between intimate pop and swerving electronics. If ‘Skin’ was a stirring debut, ‘If I’ goes one step further, placing twitching percussion against serene vocals. There’s an in-between too, spaces in the song where everything falls into place, enters its own groove.

True to the name, this is a project very much in bloom (sorry).
