DIY it's Christmas time Dear Santa… Love Superfood

Ahead of the festivities, we’ve asked bands to share their letters to Father Christmas. Here’s Emily from Superfood, with her band hopes for the New Year.

‘Tis well and truly the season of goodwill, dear readers. It’s that time for final tree adjustments, eggnog organisation and of course, the most important job of all. Getting those letters signed, sealed and delivered off to the North Pole should be the thing to take priority right now - how on earth will Santa know that you want a selfie stick otherwise?

Bands are no exception, and after winding down from a busy year, it’s absolutely critical that they remember to check in with the big guy in the red suit. Before they popped their letter in the postbox, though, we asked some musicians to give us a cheeky glimpse of what they want for Christmas, from future hopes to present wishlists.

Wolf Alice have already got in on the letter writing fun, and now, here’s Emily from Superfood with her Christmas wish. You can read the DIY interview with the band right here.

Dear Santa,

Apart from really wanting a goat dressed as a unicorn, flashing trainers and being a spice girl etc, what I’d really like for Christmas this year is world peace. I think maybe this is possible as you have special powers and can make reindeers fly and shit. I think also if at the same time you’re doing this, you could tidy my room. I think I might also like a house made out of shells so my room would always sound like the ocean, maybe that would be cool?

I would really like a new guitar too, if it’s possible that you can make one so it’s see through and can hold real life fish in there that would be amazing. I’d also really like for the band to play on the moon at some point this year, maybe like summer time? I think that would make our moms pretty proud of us.
