Douglasa Castle The 10 best bits from Peace’s bonkers track-by-track guide to ‘Happy People’

From Made in Chelsea pisstakes to a Noel Fielding cameo, Peace’s guide to their new album is terrifying.

Nothing quite matches the madness of Peace. Here is a group who’ll gladly don ridiculous coats not just on stage, but during their day-to-day existence. They’re quote machines, coming out with grand statements while penning monstrously huge, future festival anthems in the process. They’re a band like few others and - bless their hearts - they’re very special individuals.

None more so than in their new, completely off-the-grid guide to second album ‘Happy People’, which at the time of writing looks like being the first to chart in the top ten. Usually, a band might write a ton of words about the meaning of each song, explaining how chord changes work and why they’re so significant. They’ll dig into personal themes, detail the true definition and shoving aside people’s misconceptions of what their record’s all about. Not Peace.

Instead, Peace will dress up as swordsmen, gorge on porridge and even poke fun at their own appearance on Made in Chelsea last year.

This is the ultimate track-by-track guide, so we decided to pick out some of our highlights. Watch the whole thing below, too.

1. Harry calling ‘Happy People’ “this fucking wicked sick record”

He’s right, but it can only go downhill from here. They look five pints deep, for crying out loud.

2. Dom’s creepy motorbike face

This is the look of a man who will take your trousers off without even being in the room.

3. Sam’s confused face

Surrounded by clouds in a ‘Lost in Translation’ scenario, it’s hard not to feel sympathy for the guy.

4. The record company meeting

Their boss at Sony Columbia’s had a brainfart. “Who is the biggest band in the world?” he barks, before pointing the finger at Mumford & Sons. “FORGET MUMFORD & SONS”, he announces. “Funkford and grunge. Any questions?”

5. Peace’s approval for #funkford and grunge

This is a band who’ll never say no.

6. Everything about this Made in Chelsea-ism

Harry’s “not alright, mate”. Thus beginning the greatest televised scene in Peace’s history. Even better than when they were actually on Made in Chelsea.

7. The confrontation

Doug the diva isn’t taking Harry’s shit. “No support from the squad” my arse. One of Harry’s precious coats gets ruined.

8. Douglasa Castle

Aka Noel Fielding aka the most confusing part of the track-by-track guide. Is this a dig at Doug? Who invited Noel? Why is he calling himself an “eskimo girl”?

9. Doug’s battle face

Nobody challenge Doug in a sword fight - there’s no point. This guy slays guitar and he’ll slay you.

10. Harry’s FML tweet
