Plastic Flowers - Fog Song
Free download ‘Fog Song’ from Greek duo Plastic Flowers is about as smart as it comes. Every message simmering in between the dreamy haze comes direct and without pretence. ‘Things will come around’ runs the mantra, and you’re there every step of the way, convinced of it all. Think Chromatics with some extra magic dust sprinkled on top and you’re halfway there.

Ménage à Trois - Don’t Break My Heart
If you thought a topless Sean Nicholas Savage was the zenith of alt-romantics, wait till you see the first footage of Ménage à Trois playing live, at Manchester’s Art Gallery. Their cover of UB40 is essential watching. Members of WU LYF help form the group, but by golly it’s a far cry from determinist, experimental pop. It’s direct, forceful and ridiculously emotional.
