News The Neu Bulletin (22nd November 2012)

Neu’s daily guide to nights out and new music. Featuring TOPS, Bare Pale and Embers.

TOPS, Soft Arrows, Bare Pale support Mac Demarco - Brighton Green Door Store
Line-up of the year? Certainly, there’s rarely a better chance to keep warm in a snug gig venue *and* watch a whole host of great bands at the same time. Topping the bill is everyone’s favourite gap-teethed crooner, Mac Demarco. Then come Neu favourites TOPS, Soft Arrows and Bare Pale (yes, all three of them!), crowded together just outside of Brighton train station. What an evening to be alive. TOPS also play Portsmouth’s Registry tomorrow night, alongside Watushi Calcutecs.

Tallows - Soft Water

Soft Water by Tallows

Oklahoma-based band Tallows exhibit a remarkable balance between fist-pumping guitar sections and cute, restrained vocals. Embers impressed us a few months back and their debut single is full of potential. But this performance of ‘Hollow Cage’ is without par. It’s truly astonishing.
