A Grave With No Name, Great Ytene support Echo Lake - Shacklewell Arms, London (Friday 28th)


New Marshall Teller signings Great Ytene join up with recently-interviewed A Grave With No Name for the live return of Echo Lake. It’s the latter’s first gig since December, and they’ve created one of the most perfectly put-together line-ups in yonks to match the occasion.

Bo En - miss you


When you hear a production such as this, everything clicks. It’s like being exposed to a new colour previously naked to the human eye. It’s forward-thinking to the extent that rational human beings couldn’t possibly fathom the thing until they encounter it. ‘miss you’ blends gameboy-aesthetics with a sugar-sweet, Passion Pit style of pop, gleeful and unrelentingly so. But it’s wrapped up in some of the smartest production going, trap beats thrashing the walls, enclosed in squeaky synth patterns that run and run and run until there’s nothing left but pure giddiness.
