Acting Strange show their weird side on ‘RUMBLE’

Take a trip with a time machine into the wild unknown with nothing but a guitar by your side, and you might wind up in Acting Strange’s territory. They’re a deadly duo, hailing from Glasgow and consisting of cousins Ali and Billy Strange.

On ‘RUMBLE’, they ruffle the feathers of the past without taking too many ingredients from previous decades’ recipes. Like Foxygen without the ‘is this for real’ lark, they bring a sense of nostalgia that feels rich on its own terms, inventive enough to suggest something new. Plus, it clatters and clangs like all of rock ’n roll’s heroes.
