Brandon Flowers to return with new solo album ‘THRASHER’
The Killers’ frontman has announced plans for his first solo outing in 11 years, and it was entirely recorded in Nashville, TN.

Relocating from the usual glitz and glam of his Las Vegas home, The Killers’ frontman Brandon Flowers has returned with details of a brand new solo album, this time recorded in Nashville, TN.
His new album, ‘THRASHER’, marks this third solo outing, and will be his first new release in 11 years, following on from his 2010 solo debut ‘Flamingo’, and its 2015 follow-up, ‘The Desired Effect’. The ten-track album - set for release on 21st August via Island Records - will see the singer, this time, embrace the warmer flourishes of country and western music, having recorded at the historic RCA Studio A with producers Shawn Everett and Jonathan Rado, and a cast of iconic collaborators including David Rawlings on guitar, pedal steel player Bruce Bouton, and harmonica player Charlie McCoy.
Today, Flowers has also shared the album’s tracklisting, along with a poignant trailer that gives a little extra insight into his forthcoming solo foray. Speaking over the evocative clip, Brandon narrates: “Two things can be true at the same time. The fact that I love new wave and rock and roll has been well-documented, but a life is long enough to allow for more. Walt Whitman said it best: “I am large, I contain multitudes”. Well, I’m larger now than I was 20 years ago, and I’ve unlocked a room that feels like it’s been waiting for me all along: Country and Western music, my father’s music. It has offered itself to me, and the stories I have to tell at the moment, with a breezy enthusiasm.”
The first preview of the album, ‘Plans’, is set to be shared this Friday (26th June), but in the meantime, check out the tracklisting, and watch the trailer for ‘THRASHER’ below.
