Adele Announces She’s Expecting First Child

If you’re waiting for another album from Adele any time soon, you may want to readdress those expectations - the singer has announced she’s pregnant.

‘I’m delighted to announce that Simon and I are expecting our first child together,’ she wrote on her official website. ‘I wanted you to hear the news direct from me, obviously we’re over the moon and very excited but please respect our privacy at this precious time. Yours always, Adele xx.’

The father of the child is Simon Konecki, Adele’s boyfriend and co-founder of bottled water company Life Water. Konecki has a daughter from a previous marriage.

‘21’ is currently sitting at sales just below the ten million mark.
