Adele, Ed Sheeran & Jessie J Lead BRIT Awards Nominations

Nominations for this year’s BRIT Awards have been revealed, with the top scorers being named as Adele, Ed Sheeran and Jessie J.

Topping the nominations is Ed Sheeran who has scored four, including British Breakthrough Act and the MasterCard British Album of the Year, whilst both Adele and Jessie J have three a-piece.

Other nominees include the likes of Florence & The Machine, Emeli Sandé, Coldplay and Bon Iver.

Fighting for the title of MasterCard British Album of the Year are Adele, Coldplay, Ed Sheeran, Florence + The Machine and PJ Harvey; a tough one, since Coldplay have claimed the title three times now.

Performances on the evening will come from Adele, Bruno Mars, Coldplay, Ed Sheeran, Florence + The Machine and Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, as well as a special performance from Blur, who are being awarded with the Outstanding Contribution to Music award.

The BRIT Awards 2012 will be exclusively broadcast live on ITV1 on Tuesday 21st February from The O2 Arena.
