Adele is “taking her time” on new album says producer Emile Haynie

“We’ll have to wait and see,” said Haynie of the rumoured follow-up to the singer’s multi-platinum selling ‘21’.

Producer Emile Haynie has some gossip on that elusive and unconfirmed Adele album.

Speaking to The Daily Star, Haynie - who has also worked with with Lana Del Ray, Kanye West, Bruno Mars, and Eminem - confirmed that he met with Adele earlier this year to discuss potentially working together on the singer’s next record. It’ll be the follow-up to ‘21,’ the album which saw Adele become a household name and reach worldwide acclaim. It is the biggest selling album of the Millenium, with sales of 4.74 million.

Haynie says of the meeting with the singer, “We got along well as friends when we met in February and I hope we can cut some songs, but Adele is taking her time.”

Echoing a similarly tight-lipped Paul Epworth, who has previously produced for Adele, Haynie added, “I’d push for it to happen, but we’ll have to wait and see.”
