Adele’s '25’ won't be made available to stream

With one day until release, reports suggest that Adele’s third album ‘25’ won’t be available to stream digitally - at least not in the immediate future.

The New York Times is reporting that the XL (UK) and Columbia (North America) release won’t be uploaded to Spotify, Apple Music and other streaming giants tomorrow, 20th November. This is according to three separate sources close to the NY Times - an Adele spokesperson has yet to comment.

Lead ’25’ single ‘Hello’ was an instant chart-topper. The record’s also been previewed by ‘When We Were Young’, a song written with Tobias Jesso Jr..

Amazon Europe today confirmed that ‘25’ is the most pre-ordered album in its history, overtaking Take That’s ‘III’ and Pink Floyd’s ‘The Endless River’.

Update:

Reports have been confirmed, and Spotify issued the following statement to Rolling Stone.

“We love and respect Adele, as do her 24 million fans on Spotify. We hope that she will give those fans the opportunity to enjoy 25 on Spotify alongside 19 and 21 very soon.”
