Alt-J debut ‘Hunger of the Pine’ video
Check out the clip to the Miley Cyrus-sampling lead track from the band’s new album now.

Alt-J have unveiled a video for their Miley Cyrus-sampling latest single ‘Hunger of the Pine’.
The lead track from their new album ‘This Is All Yours’, the clip features a running man being used as a human pin cushions running through a forest. You can check it out below.
“It began with a remix that Thom [Green] was doing,” the band’s frontman Joe Newman told DIY, talking about the track last month. “He was playing us this remix and we were really enjoying it and then we just started writing on our own. I was playing the guitar and Thom was responding to what I was doing on Ableton and before we knew it, we’d come up with this really interesting structure, and I came up with lyrics for it quite quickly.”
‘Hunger of the Pine’ isn’t the only track from the new record to be aired so far. ‘Left Hand Free’ is also streaming online, showing a completely different side to the album. Check that out here.
Alt-J tour the UK this September. They’ll play dates in Glasgow, Manchester, Wolverhampton and Brighton before finishing up with a huge London Alexandra Palace show. Check out the full dates here.
‘This Is All Yours’, the follow-up to the Mercury Prize-winning ‘An Awesome Wave’, is out 22nd September on Infectious Music.
