Alt-J appeared at Reading Festival yesterday and (as we may have predicted, just sayin’) played to a rammed tent.
Post-performance, we caught up with drummer Thom Green to find out how it all went.
“It was incredible. The tent was so packed that you couldn’t get in,” he told us, following the set which was their second appearance of the day.
“I guess I hadn’t really been thinking about it, but then when we were checking our in-ears side-stage, we could see how full it was.”
“At one point, as we were playing ‘Matilda’, I forgot to come in, I was so transfixed and lost in the crowd.”
Alt-J’s slot at the Festival Republic tent was their second of the day, after being the special guests on the BBC Introducing stage earlier in the day.
