Hello there:
alt-J tease new music, potentially releasing new album ‘Relaxer’ in June
The band shared a teaser on Facebook, before fans went digging for more…
It looks like everyone’s favourite triangle-loving oddballs are back! Two and a half years after releasing second album ‘This Is All Yours’, alt-J have shared a minute of new music in a new album teaser.
The post is titled “00110011 01110111 01110111”, translating to “3W” in binary code. Then, as is customary now for the biggest acts in the world, fans went digging. A Japanese iTunes listing was unearthed for a new album, ‘Relaxer’, released on 9th June. Conveniently, its first track is called “3WW”. The listing has been removed, but the artwork and tracklisting are still available to see via ATRL.
Looks like we may well be getting a new alt-J album in just about three months, then! What a bloody treat. ‘Relaxer’ has eight songs.
The teaser presents some slow, menacing acoustic guitar, and points to a track that’s as off-the-wall as we’ve come to love Joe, Gus and Thom for.
View the supposed tracklisting and artwork for ‘Relaxer’ below, as well as the teaser of new music.
