Anatole shares new track ‘Away (ft. Tash Parker)’
Anatole’s first release since his 2014 EP ‘Westbrook’ takes its cues from the classical world.
Australian musician Anatole has shared a new track, ‘Away (ft. Tash Parker)’.
Anatole takes his name from the Greek word for “sunrise”; and it’s a good fit for the Sydneysider’s glimmering, richly layered music. Despite the slick, razor-sharp first impressions, the twinkling pianos quietly keeping guard over ‘Away,’ and the humming, bustling string lines take their cues from the classical world. Trained at the Sydney Conservatorium Anatole puts a new, beat-propelled spin on instruments plucked straight from the classical rehearsal room, in similar vein to the likes of Trentemøller, múm and Bonobo.
The track also features Melbourne’s Tash Parker; also at work on her own solo release. ‘Away’ is mixed and mastered by Andrei Eremin, who has also worked with Chet Faker and Oscar Key Sung. It’s Anatole’s first release since his 2014 EP ‘Westbrook’.
