Aphex Twin confirms ‘SYRO’ album details
See tracklist, artwork and an outlandish bio to accompany the producer’s first LP in 13 years.
Following a blimp, a Deep Web experiment and every elaborate means of announcing a record available to a producer who hasn’t released a full-length since 2001, Aphex Twin has lived up to ‘SYRO’’s billing with an outlandish tracklist and an even more extreme new biography.
13 years in waiting, ‘SYRO’ now has an official release date of 23rd September via Warp. The album artwork is one big receipt containing costs such as “Other online advertising” and “Refreshments and lunch for promo team album listening in Paris.”
There’s also a new Aphex Twin biography (or as he’s now known, “Phex Twinnipicks”) that’s been unveiled alongside the ‘SYRO’ tracklist. See both in all their WTF glory below.
