Apple Music and Beats 1 launches worldwide
Zane Lowe’s back on the airwaves, with the iOS 8.4 update out now.
After all the build-up, controversy and #Swiftgate, Apple Music is finally out now (30th June).
Apple’s new streaming service - pitted as the first serious rival to Spotify - is available on iOS devices. The three-month free trial option can be activated from this point onwards, ahead of the usual monthly rate of $9.99 (U.S.) and £9.99 (UK). Android users will be able to gain access from this Autumn.
Apple’s ’24/7 radio station’ Beats 1 launched from 5pm GMT, with former BBC Radio 1 DJ Zane Lowe kicking things off with his first show, live from Los Angeles. His first song was Spring King’s ‘City’.
Both Apple Music and Beats 1 are available via the iOS 8.4 update.
Featuring Yard Act, Death Cab For Cutie, Graham Coxon, Maisie Peters and more.
