Apple to launch iTunes Radio service later today
New streaming service is set to be announced in San Francisco.
Apple is expected to announce its long-awaited streaming service iTunes Radio in San Francisco today (Monday 8th June).
The company’s rival to streaming giants like Spotify has been in the works since purchasing Dr Dre’s Beats Electronics. The service boasts Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails, DJ Zane Lowe and his previous Radio 1 producers as big draws.
A monthly subscription of £10 ($10 in the US) is expected to be confirmed, too, while Pharrell Williams and Drake are set to be given roles as playlist curators and guest DJs.
Today’s WWDC event is also expected to announce changes to Apple TV and Apple Pay.
