Arcade Fire are opening their own restaurant in Montreal

Members of Arcade Fire have decided to open their own restaurant in home city Montreal.

Win Butler and Régine Chassagne are joining forces with Roland Jean and Jen Agg to open Agriko, a local restaurant which (of course) serves Haitian-themed food.

Butler explained his plans to set up a “cultural space,” speaking to Globe and Mail. “The thing that we were really impressed with at Rhum Corner is that it’s this space for Haitian and Caribbean culture and it’s really cool and contemporary,” he said.

Arcade Fire haven’t started plans for a follow-up to 2013’s ‘Reflektor’, which took the group off on an extensive world tour, including a Glastonbury 2014 headline spot. Since then, Will Butler has released his first ever solo album and Richard Reed Parry has gone further with his compositional work. Butler’s stuck to the foodie life, starting up his own Haitian coffee brand for charity.
