Arcade Fire’s New Single Is Called ‘Reflektor’, Video Out On Monday
Record stores also hint at a vinyl-only release come next week, from Arcade Fire.

The anticipation for some of Arcade Fire’s new material is reaching boiling point. The ‘Reflektor’ campaign is going into meltdown. The alarm clocks have been set for 9/9, 9pm, even though nobody’s entirely sure which time zone this curious date applies to. It’s getting ridiculous.
Some supposedly secret info has been let slip by the guy directing a video for Arcade Fire’s new single, which he reveals to be called ‘Reflektor’.
‘I’m working on a really great song at the moment: Arcade Fire’s new single,’ stated Anton Corbijn, just like that, to the Daily Beast.
‘The song is called ‘Reflektor,’ and you’ll be able to see it Monday evening…. I can’t say much more than that, because it’s all a surprise,’ added the guy behind Ian Curtis’ biopic ‘Control’ and Nirvana’s ‘Heart-Shaped Box’.
According to ArcadeFireTube, ‘Reflektor’ will be released as a 12’ single on 9th September. In a tweet that’s since been deleted, Banquet Records hinted that the release would be vinyl only (see the remainder of the conversation here).
Arcade Fire’s new album is released on 28th October.
