Arcade Fire’s Win Butler to act as barista in New York this weekend

Win Butler used to wait for his coffee, but now he’s brewing it himself.

The Arcade Fire frontman is ready to start as a barista this weekend in La Colombe’s Hudson Street Cafe, New York City. A specific time hasn’t been posted by the independent store, but his shift will take place on Saturday morning.

It’s taking place as part of the launch for RaRa Haitian Coffee, with all proceeds going towards Partners in Health and Haiti Coffee Academy. You already know this - Butler spoke about his collaboration earlier this year, saying: “Being in the mountains of Haiti, it is hard not to think about coffee. The elevation, the sunshine, the soil, and incredible people, who have been growing the plant on tiny family plots for centuries. Haiti is buzzing with potential and possibility, and coffee can be an important part of its rebirth.”

Any normal person should get down to the cafe tomorrow, 14th February. Here comes the caffeine.
