Autre Ne Veut announces new album ‘Age Of Transparency’
Arthur Ashin will follow-up his 2013 album ‘Anxiety’ with a new full-length this October.
Autre Ne Veut - aka Arthur Ashin - has announced plans to release his new album ‘Age Of Transparency’.
Ashin is set to follow up his 2013 debut album ‘Anxiety’ with his new nine-track effort. It’s due for release on 2nd October via Downtown.
The record, which comes produced by Ashin himself before being mixed by Tony Maserati, stands as the second part in a trilogy of albums. In a statement - as pointed out by Pitchfork - Ashin has offered up a few words on the album’s title.
“The title comes from marking jargon,” says Ashin. “It’s a term for the place we’re in now, where truth and transparency are just ways to sell things and honesty is its own kind of performance. … Transparency is an impossibility. It’s more about trying to be transparent and falling on your face in the process.”
The tracklisting for ‘Age Of Transparency’ is as follows.
1. On and On (Reprise)
2. Panic Room
3. Cold Winds
4. Age of Transparency
5. Switch Hitter
6. Never Wanted
7. World War Pt. 2
8. Over Now
9. Get Out
Ashin has also revealed the first cut from his new full-length, in the form of ‘World War Pt. 2’, which comes accompanied with a rather profound (yet still a bit creepy) video. Watch the Allie Avital-directed clip - which sees Ashin completely starkers with a naked Macy Sullivan attached to him - below.
