Baby Queen returns with new single ‘Dream Girl’
It is the first single from her upcoming debut album.
Baby Queen has shared a brand new single, ‘Dream Girl’, the first song to be released from her forthcoming debut album. Watch the video, directed by Claryn Chong, below.
The song details the London artist’s unrequited feelings for a woman who was in a relationship with a man. She has said, “I actually had, like, palpitations over it. When I first started making music, I was like, ‘No one can know that I’m bisexual. I have to keep it a secret’. I just don’t give a fuck anymore.”
Last year, Baby Queen released the singles ’Lazy’, ‘Nobody Really Cares’ and ‘Colours of You’, which was written for the Netflix LGBTQ+ drama ‘Heartstopper’.
Her debut album, as yet untitled, is expected to be released later this year via Polydor Records.
She is playing a range of festivals this summer, including Reading & Leeds, Rock Werchter and Sziget.
