Bastille to return to headline Boardmasters 2015
The band’s set was cut last year thanks to hurricane Bertha.
After last year’s set was cut thanks to the “severe weather conditions” resulting from hurricane Bertha, Bastille are to return to headline this year’s Boardmasters festival.
They join the already-announced Rudimental at the event, which takes place across two locations in Newquay, Cornwall between 5th and 9th August.
A statement from Bastille frontman Dan Smith reads: “We’re all incredibly excited to be coming back to Boardmasters for, barring anymore hurricanes, an amazing night in the west country. Growing up in the south west, Boardmasters was a festival I always wanted to play so when it was cancelled last year I was devastated. Hopefully coming back this year will help make up for it and we’ll be able to play some material from our new album as well. We can’t wait to see you all in August.”
In addition to the bands - Rudimental and Bastille are the only two currently confirmed - there are various surf contests, plus skate and BMX competitions.
Tickets are on sale now, priced from £119 for the weekend.
