Artists across the industry join forces for Together For Palestine fundraising concert
The landmark event will feature performances from Damon Albarn, Brian Eno, Rachel Chinouriri, Bastille and many more.
The initial lineup for charity gig Together For Palestine has been confirmed, featuring the likes of Brian Eno, Damon Albarn, Obongjayar, Jamie xx and more.
Set to take place on 17th September at OVO Arena Wembley, the event - which has been co-executive produced by Eno, alongside actor / activist Khalid Abdalla, Marsm and London Palestine Festival founder Khaled Ziada, and producer Tracey Seaward - will be the UK’s largest ever fundraising concert for Gaza.
“In the face of the horrors of Gaza silence becomes complicity,” Eno has commented. “Artists have always helped societies to point out injustice and imagine better futures. That’s why this concert matters. It’s time for us to come together — not just to raise our voices, but to reaffirm our shared humanity.”
A one-off gathering of some of British music’s biggest names (including Bastille, Sampha, Rachel Chinouriri, and Hot Chip) as well as Palestinian artists like Adnan Joubran, Faraj Suleiman, and Nai Barghouti, Together For Palestine aims to not only provide financial aid to causes supporting Palestinian people, but also to stand as a powerful show of solidarity with them, in the face of Gaza’s ongoing humanitarian crisis.
Alongside these performances - some of which will feature unique collaborations or specially-created new material - the event will also include non-musical segments in which the likes of Rina Sawayama, PinkPantheress and Riz Ahmed will take to the stage, and the courage and resilience of frontline workers on the ground will be honoured.
100% of the ticket price for Together For Palestine (excluding additional fees) will be donated to Choose Love, who will distribute the funds to Palestinian-led organisations providing humanitarian relief.
More names are set to be announced in the coming weeks, and tickets are on sale now here. Check out the full lineup poster - so far - below.
