BEA unveils video for new single, ‘Filthy Believer’

BEA has a lot to live up to with her new video. Her last - for early track ‘We’re Like The Hard Born’ - saw the Amsterdam-based artist filming herself on a selfie stick in a room full of steaming ice. Not only that - by the end, her lonely adventure was joined by a 3D dog, which mouthed every word to her curious chorus.

The surrealism stakes aren’t upped altogether on new song ‘Filthy Believer’. But again, it’s shot entirely in one take, with BEA pouncing on the spot in a room full of light pink shades. Her faint is painted the same colour, with trusty CGI petals arriving in the final thirty seconds.

It’s the song itself, however, that truly strikes. Before this, BEA was a new champion of murky pop, mystery coming before big hooks. That’s shunned this time round, with ‘Filthy Believer’ announcing itself as an oddly triumphant pop song, a smash hit dressed in surrealist shades.

BEA’s also announced her debut London show - she plays a New Shapes showcase at Notting Hill Arts Club, 4th March.
