Benjamin for no benjamins: Benjamin Francis Leftwich offers up free download cover of Foals’ ‘Blue Blood’

Singer-songwriter’s new album ‘After The Rain’ is coming this August.
Ahead of the release of his incoming second album ‘After The Rain’, Benjamin Francis Leftwich has hopped back behind the strings, offering up a cover of Foals’ slow-jam snog-fest ‘Blue Blood’.
Where the original builds upon a hoppity-skipping bassline (surely one of lanky four-string fella Walter Gervers’ finest), Ben strips back the instrumentation, drawing on those yearning lyrics instead. It’s all very sad - not exactly a Friday night party starter, but if your evening plans involve sitting around and stroking pictures of your ex while staring forlornly out the window then you can download it for free here.
Benjamin Francis Leftwich’s second full-length is coming August 19th via Dirty Hit - catch up with ‘Tilikum’ (and its serene accompanying vid) and ‘Mayflies’ from the record.
