Best Coast To Begin Recording Next Week

Yes, we know it’s hardly been much time at all since ‘The Only Place’. But last night, Best Coast’s Bethany Cosentino took to YouTube to tell the world she and bandmate Bobb Bruno are heading back in to the studio.

The pair’s second album and follow-up to 2010’s ‘Crazy For You’ was released back in May 2012 (read our review here, and interview with Bethany here).

Bethany had spent the day teasing via Twitter, telling fans she had a ‘surprise’ for them. Then, later, posted the following clip, which told us the pair would be recording an EP, likely to be released later this year.

‘Hi, it’s Bethany,’ she begins, before revealing that ‘Bobb and I are going to be heading back in to the studio starting February 11th to record a brand new EP’.

‘We’re going to be doing it here in LA,’ she continues, ‘with our friend Wally, and we’re so so so so so excited to be recording new music. I’ve been writing a lot here in my bedroom. We can’t wait to get this out for you guys to hear’.
