Sound of Summer 2019
Biffy Clyro to headline 2019’s edition of Jack Daniel’s Presents in Birmingham
And the winning act from the Sound of Summer competition will be opening the show for them.

Back in June, we began the hunt for the UK’s best new band through our Sound of Summer competition, with Jack Daniel’s and O’Neill’s and now we can reveal more details of the winning prize.
The incredible Biffy Clyro are set to headline the 2019 edition of Jack Daniel’s Presents at Digbeth Arena in Birmingham this October, and the winning act of the Sound of Summer competition will be the artist opening up the show for them.
Need a reminder of how Sound of Summer works? We’ve now had bands play at 32 heats in O’Neill’s pubs across the UK, and they’ll be playing six semi-finals - whittling down the long list to a final six acts - across the 15th and 22nd August, respectively. A panel of music industry experts will then decide the final winner, who will get to play this year’s edition of Jack Daniel’s Presents, alongside Biffy Clyro, as well as three regional shows in the run up. The runners-up will also be offered up a series of prizes, including a £1000 cash prize.
For more information on the semi-finals head to the O’Neill’s website. To read more about Jack Daniel’s Presents, head here.
