Big Thief to release new album ‘U.F.O.F.’ this May
It’s their first for new home 4AD.
Big Thief are to release a new album in May.
‘U.F.O.F’ will be out on 3rd May, and features track ‘UFOF’, shared today.
F, the band explains, stands for friend. “Making friends with the unknown… All my songs are about this,” says Lenker. “If the nature of life is change and impermanence, I’d rather be uncomfortably awake in that truth than lost in denial.”
The album was recorded at Bear Creek Studios in rural Washington, with engineer Dom Monks and producer Andrew Sarlo. It is the follow-up to 2017’s ‘Capacity’.
