Big Thief share highly-anticipated single ‘Vampire Empire’
The band have also announced an upcoming 7”, featuring another bonus track.
Big Thief are back with their first new music of 2023, the highly anticipated ‘Vampire Empire’. The track is taken from their forthcoming 7”, out on 20th October, which will also feature the as of yet unreleased ‘Born For Loving You’ as a B-side.
‘Vampire Empire’ arrives surrounded by a fair amount of hype, having become a fan favourite via live shows and a performance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. Of the single, Adrienne Lenker says: “For me, it’s about getting out of toxic internal patterns - leaving the empire of energy drains that obscure pure essence, learning about what healthy boundaries are, and finding the power to implement them for the possibility of giving and receiving (both inwardly and outwardly) unbroken and infinite Love”.
Adrienne and co. are also currently in the midst of a big North American tour, supporting the release of last year’s Grammy-nominated album ‘Dragon New Warm Mountain I Believe In You’. Check out the band’s live dates below.
