La Route Du Rock has announced Björk as the first headliner for its 25th anniversary edition.
After releasing her latest album ‘Vulnicura’ at the beginning of the year, the Icelandic star becomes the first and only name to be announced for the festival so far, which takes at a picturesque fort close to St. Malo in Brittany.
Previous guests have included Massive Attack, Aphex Twin and The National, with Darkside, Caribou and Moderat heading up the 2014 edition of the event in which each artist is granted a headline-length set. As is tradition, there’s also a beach football tournament at the end of the weekend. Someone send #indiepete an invite.
UK tickets for the event, which includes a ferry from Portsmouth, are on sale now for £155. You can also catch up with ‘Björkophilia’, DIY’s comprehensive guide to Björk, here.
