Bloc Party announce new European dates
New look band to play Manchester and London in December.
After debuting their new look line-up at shows in the US last month, Bloc Party have announced that they’ll be returning to European soil for shows this winter.
The band - with new members Justin Harris and Louise Bartle alongside Kele Okereke and Russell Lissack - took the opportunity to debut material from a forthcoming fifth album at the two Californian shows before playing LA’s FYF Festival.
The newly announced winter touring plans will see Bloc Party play dates in the Netherlands, France, Germany and Belgium, before coming to the UK for shows at the Albert Hall Manchester and St John’s Church in Hackney.
The dates come after months of build up following Kele’s announcement on triple j in March that the band were working on new material. The frontman has since gone on the record to discuss the group’s new personnel, saying “I feel better for it”, having parted with former members Gordon Moakes and Matt Tong.
Bloc Party’s European dates go on sale this Friday, with dates listed below:
NOVEMBER
27 Paradiso, Amsterdam
28 Live Music Hall, Cologne
29 Astra Kulturhaus, Berlin
DECEMBER
01 Alhambra, Paris
02 Cirque Royale, Brussels
03 Albert Hall, Manchester
