Bloc Party Announce UK Tour Dates

Bloc Party have announced three UK dates, following on from the announcement that have signed to Frenchkiss Records.

The band, who are currently working on their fourth album in New York, signed to the label last month, and have now unveiled plans to play three UK shows this summer.

The tiny, tiny shows - come on, they are! - will take place in June at London’s KOKO, Manchester’s Ritz and Glasgow’s Garage.

Speaking of the shows, frontman Kele Okereke commented: ‘Hello internet, I know it’s been a long two and half years since bloc party last performed in the UK. Well it seems that wait is over, we are happy to announce a short run of intimate shows for our friends in the UK and our friends in the US. We will be playing choice cuts from our new record as well as some more familiar jams. We hope to see you soon.’

The band are currently in the studio in New York recording the follow up to 2008’s ‘Intimacy’, which they’ve just finished writing.
