According to guitarist Russell Lissack, Bloc Party are working on new material and will be getting together again in September.
Speaking to NME, Lissack confirms he has met up with frontman Kele and there are plans to meet as a band after the festivals.
‘Kele and I started working on Bloc Party stuff together and separately,’ he said. ‘We’re having a bit of a break until the festivals are over, because people have commitments during the summer, but we’re going to get back properly in September and sit in a rehearsal studio to work on new band material.’
Bloc Party are on hiatus, playing their last live show in 2009. Bassist Gordon Moakes’ new band Young Legionnaire are set to release their debut album next month.
