Bloc Party’s Kele Okereke Calls New Album ‘Quite Visceral & Confrontational’
The frontman opened up (at least a little bit) about the band’s fourth album.
We’re all really rather excited to find out what’s going to come next with Bloc Party’s latest offering and now, in a new interview, Kele Okereke has given us a tiny insight.
Speaking to Rolling Stone, the frontman says that the band’s fourth album ‘Four’ is set to be ‘quite visceral and confrontational.’
‘We felt as a band that we needed to reclaim the process,’ he said, in regards to the more ‘raw, lo-fi sound’ that’s found on the album.
However, he remains cautious of giving too much away: ‘I’ve been rather cautious about not speaking too much about what things are supposed to mean, or what things are supposed to be about. I think that it’s more exciting if people, if our fans, just got a record and sat with it and discovered the nuances for themselves, or they read something into the music that I hadn’t even seen.’
Bloc Party are going to be releasing their fourth album ‘Four’ and have now unveiled their tracklisting.
