Blood Orange covers Philip Glass’ ‘Metamorphosis III’
He took on the influential minimalist composer’s piece at SiriusXMU.

Appearing on US and Canadian radio station SiriusXMU, Blood Orange took on a fairly left-field cover, playing ‘Metamorphosis III’ by the hugely influential minimalist composer Philip Glass.
The piano piece appears on Glass’ 1989 album ‘Solo Piano’ - a series of works inspired by Franz Kafta’s creepy insect-based short story The Metamorphosis. Dev Hynes - a very nifty pianist himself - plays it faultlessly.
Blood Orange released his last album ‘Freetown Sound’ at the end of June. He’s been a busy bee this year, also guesting on Solange’s new record.
Have yourself a zen moment this morning, and listen to his Philip Glass cover below.
