Blood Orange shares artwork for new album ‘Freetown Sound’
Devonté Hynes’ third album is “coming soon,” apparently.

Blood Orange has shared the artwork for his third album, ‘Freetown Sound’. The striking cover is by the American photographer Deana Lawson, who is well known for her intimate portraits of strangers.
Last month Devonté Hynes confirmed the album’s title, describing the release as “like my version of ‘Paul’s Boutique’ [Beastie Boys’ breakthrough LP]. It kind of plays like a long mix tape.”
He also said that the follow-up to ‘Cupid Deluxe’ contains “a lot about sexuality and displacement and life in the city—so it’s definitely very personal, but in doing that I think it’s probably the most relatable thing I’ve ever done.”
Blood Orange previously hinted at a Spring release, and in the latest update, says that the new album is “coming soon”.
