Blood Orange shares new ‘Delancey’ demo
Track was written by Dev Hynes earlier this week.

Dev Hynes has revealed the first new Blood Orange material since 2013’s ‘Cupid Deluxe’ album in the form of ‘Delancey’.
In a note posted on his website along with the track, Hynes revealed the song was written and recorded only three days ago, and is the first example of the new material Hynes has hinted he has been working on.
‘Delancey’ is a fleeting, moody number, which neglects any form of percussion, instead opting for an ominous string section and his trademark booming vocals.
Despite the lack of new Blood Orange activity recently, Hynes hasn’t been completely quiet. He has been behind the desk for Spector and is set to collaborate with Connan Mockasin in a special recording residency at the New Myths Festival in Texas later this month.
There is no hints as to whether ‘Delancey’ will appear on a future Blood Orange release, or when such a thing will arrive, but Hynes has certainly hinted that this is the first of many new offerings.
