Bombay Bicycle Club announce first headline show of comeback
A New York City show will join the band’s slot at Wilderness Festival.
Back in January, Bombay Bicycle Club announced that they were set to return this year after five years away.
“Since late last year we’ve been getting back into the swing of playing music together,” they wrote. “We were initially a little rusty but also nostalgic playing songs that have been around since we were teenagers. More than anything it just felt great to be in the same room playing again. It made us realise what a good thing we have and has given us renewed energy and enthusiasm for the future.”
They then announced themselves as headliners for Wilderness Festival in Oxfordshire this summer, and have now announced the first headline gig of their comeback.
The band will play Brooklyn Steel in New York on 7th October, and, in the announcement, they say that “many more tour dates” are to be announced soon.
Tickets for the Brooklyn show go on sale today (20th March) at 10am local time.
