Bombay Bicycle Club sell out final Earls Court show
The indie four piece will be the last act to play the iconic London venue.
Bombay Bicycle Club have sold out their upcoming Earls Court show, the final performance at the venue before it closes its doors.
The London based indie outfit will play to a crowd of 20,000 on Saturday 13th December, with support from Peace and Sivu. The show will mark the end of almost 80 years of conferences and events which have taken place within the venue, including many classic gigs.
“After we heard that we were going to be playing the last show at Earls Court we all felt quite conflicted,” explains guitarist Jamie McColl. “There was excitement to be playing there and to have a place at the conclusion of the venue’s history; there was sadness too though, at the closure of one of London’s most historic venues.”
The band have had a rather successful year, with critically acclaimed fourth album ‘So Long, See You Tomorrow’ reaching number 1 in February before being nominated for a Mercury Music Prize. Their single ‘Luna’ has been shortlisted as one of Zane Lowe’s 100 Hottest Records of 2014.
Their Earls Court show will be the final date of a UK tour in December. See the full schedule below:
