Bon Iver announces Hollywood Bowl show with Patti Smith

Bon Iver have announced a one-off gig at Los Angeles’ Hollywood Bowl. And they’re only playing alongside Patti blimmin’ Smith!

On 23rd October, Justin Vernon and co. play the amphitheater, joined by Patti Smith and Her Band, and M.C. Taylor’s Hiss Golden Messenger.

Justin Vernon has been a busy bee lately. As well as touring in Asia, appearing on the new James Blake record, and teaming up with The National for a new outlet called Invisible Bridge Project, there’s also new Bon Iver material on the horizon. Earlier this month Bon Iver promised new music later this summer, with Justin Vernon hinting at an entirely new set at his very own Eaux Claires Festival.

If there is a new album in the works, this’ll be Bon Iver’s first since 2011’s ‘Bon Iver, Bon Iver’.
