The new single - along with another track - was premiered via a live-stream art installation created by Justin Vernon.

Bon Iver teases new 'SABLE fABLE' singles 'If Only I Could Wait' and 'Walk Home'; announces In Such A Small Time Frame art installation

Justin Vernon - otherwise known as Bon Iver - has unveiled two new singles from his forthcoming album, ‘SABLE fABLE’ (his first in six years, due out on 11th April via Jagjaguwar).

A poignant sigh of a song, ‘If Only I Could Wait’ sees Justin team up with none other than Danielle Haim (who, along with her sisters, has just made a much-anticipated return of their own) to question the sustainability of a relationship; ‘Walk Home’, in contrast, is a lust-fuelled ode to the harmonic bliss of the honeymoon phase.

“For the second look into ‘fABLE’, it couldn’t be a single; it had to be a double,” he has shared. “First, ‘Walk Home’ is a romp where you can’t wait to pull your clothes off fast enough and jump inside bed with your one true lover.”

The duet with Danielle, however, has been described by Justin as “a bilateral crying question”. Continuing, he posits: “How long can the two of us hang on to each other?”

While both tracks are now out on streaming services, fans were able to preview them via a special live stream entitled In Such A Small Time Frame - a 24/7 camera feed and art installation that Justin set up in the woods of Wisconsin last Autumn. You can check that out here, and watch the lyric videos for both ‘If Only I Could Wait’ and ‘Walk Home’ below.
