Four years on since the release of their self-titled EP, it looks like boygenius - the supergroup made up of Lucy Dacus, Julien Baker and Phoebe Bridgers - might be up to something.

The trio were spotted by an eagle-eyed fan doing a photoshoot together on the streets on LA, seemingly recreating a Nirvana photoshoot from a 1993 issue of Mademoiselle Magazine, leading many to suspect that we might be getting some new boygenius music soon.

The group have worked together several times since the release of their EP in 2018, including featuring on ‘Roses/Lotus/Violet/Iris’ from Hayley Williams’ 2020 debut solo project ‘Petals For Armor’ and working together on Julien’s single ‘Favor’ from last year’s album ‘Little Oblivions’.

In our review of their 2018 EP, we said, “Phoebe Bridgers, Lucy Dacus and Julien Baker have stood out as three leading new voices in indie-rock over the past couple of years, and all that promise is melted together gorgeously on their new collaborative EP as boygenius.”
