Bright Eyes are back, baby!
After nine years apart, the group have reunited to record and tour in 2020.
Prepare to get emotional because after a nine year hiatus, Bright Eyes are officially back!
After returning to the studio in 2019, the group - made up of Conor Oberst, Mike Mogis and Nathaniel Walcott - have also announced that they have signed to indie Dead Oceans, who also put out the self-titled debut album of Conor’s project with Phoebe Bridgers, Better Oblivion Community Center.
“Bright Eyes is not just a formative artist for me personally, but for countless people who work at Dead Oceans,” label co-founder Phil Waldorf says. “To get to work with a band that is part of our own origin stories in falling in love with music is the rarest of privileges. We are thrilled to be part of another great chapter in Bright Eyes enduring legacy.”
With new material set to come out soon, the group are heading off on tour later this year, including a slot at End of The Road Festival. We’re not crying, you’re crying.
