Bruising lift the lid on ‘Emo Friends’ video
Gloomy faces abound as the band try their darnedest not to have fun. Bunch of bloody emos.
After unveiling details of their new 7” single last month, Leeds fuzz-poppers Bruising have today revealed a video for track one, ‘Emo Friends’.
The band themselves look suitably gloomy throughout, refusing to crack a smile as all manner of house-show fun unravels behind them. “To read anything more into the video than just having an excuse to do as much daft, fun stuff in a day as possible is maybe too much,” explained the band’s Ben Lewis to Crack. “The idea was to kind of play on the whole ‘moody band’ in videos and photos thing cos we’re so far from that… Have loads of friends having the best time while we look pretty pissed off about the whole thing.” Bunch of bloody emos indeed.
The release of ‘Emo Friends’ b/w ‘Honey’ (pre-order that here) will be celebrated by a run alongside Los Campesinos! next month, dates for which are:

20 Leeds, Brudenell Social Club
