Cats don’t like your music, so scientists have made them some of their own
The cat tracks combine all the sounds they like, and none of your human nonsense.

A new project from the University of Wisconsin has been investigating cats and their reaction for music. As Popular Science reports - our feline friends are capable of enjoying music, they just hate yours. Yes, even Cat Power. Argumentative little blighters.
Instead, a pair of psychologists and a composer have written music for cats, combining all the sounds they like. While ‘human’ music left them unimpressed, this new cat music had them literally sticking their heads into the speakers.
You can hear some of the cat music here. Honestly - unlikely to make your next mix-tape.
Featuring Yard Act, Death Cab For Cutie, Graham Coxon, Maisie Peters and more.
