Charlotte Day Wilson pens her “anthem” with ‘Find You’
After guesting on BADBADNOTGOOD’s new album, the Toronto singer releases a new EP next month.
Every weekday, DIY’s new music know-it-all Neu brings you one essential new release to get obsessed with. Today’s Neu Pick comes from Charlotte Day Wilson.
Charlotte Day Wilson calls new song ‘Find You’ “the anthem”, and she isn’t fibbing. Straight-up, serene and built like the most colossal of ballads, this could be a calling card for thousands.
That doesn’t make ‘Find You’ any more orthodox, though. Like her guest spot on BADBADNOTGOOD’s recent ‘In Your Eyes’ track, she finds new ways to use traditional tools, flipping songwriting tropes on their head in a pursuit of invention.
It’s taken from a new EP titled ‘CDW’, released 26th August.
Featuring SOFT PLAY, Corinne Bailey Rae, 86TVs, English Teacher and more!
